چکیده
Purpose To evaluate the reliability of ultrasound hepatorenal index (US-HRI) and magnetic resonance imaging proton density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF) techniques in diagnosis hepatic steatosis, with spectroscopy (MRS-PDFF) as reference standard. Materials methods Fifty-two adult volunteers (30 men, 22 women; age, 31.5 ± 6.5 years) who had no history kidney disease or viral/alcoholic hepatitis were recruited to undergo abdominal US, MRI, MRS examinations. US-HRI was calculated from average three pairs regions interest (ROIs) measurements placed liver parenchyma right renal cortex. On six-point Dixon technique employed for calculating (MRI-PDFF). An sequence a typical voxel size 27 ml chosen estimate MRS-PDFF gold The data evaluated using Pearson’s correlation coefficient receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results Pearson coefficients MRI-PDFF 0.38 ( p = 0.005) 0.95 <0.001), respectively. If ≥5.56% defined standard fatty disease, areas under curve (AUCs), cut-off values, sensitivities specificities 0.74, 1.54, 50%, 91.7% 0.99, 2.75%, 100%, 88.9%, intraclass (ICCs) 0.70 0.85. Conclusion more reliable than diagnosing steatosis.

Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...
متن کاملSoftware Tools for the Analysis of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has become the most popular method for imaging of brain functions. Currently, there is a large variety of software packages for the analysis of fMRI data, each providing many features for users. Since there is no single package that can provide all the necessary analyses for the fMRI data, it is helpful to know the features of each software package. ...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance imaging of feline eye
The purpose of this study was to investigate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the normal feline eyeand optic nerves using T1-weighted and T2-weighted images. A total of 6 healthy female domestic short haircats age 2-2.5 years and weighing 3.2 ± 0.4 kg were selected. Magnetic resonance imaging data werecollected using GEMSOW (Philips) at a magnetic field strength of 1.5 T. Dorsal, sagittal, a...
